Carol Tyler is an influential pioneer of American Comics, known for her beautifully written and drawn by hand autobiographical stories.

Carol was born and raised in Chicago, received her Masters from Syracuse in 1983. After some years in NYC, she moved to San Francisco and began getting her comics published in R. Crumb’s Weirdo. In 1988, Tyler received the Dori Seda Memorial Award for Best New Female Cartoonist.

Tyler has many books.There’s the graphic masterpiece “Soldier’s Heart: The Campaign to Understand my WWII Veteran Father, A Daughter’s Memoir” (2015) which began as the “You’ll Never Know” trilogy.…

Errin Weaver is a choreographer, instructor, and the Executive Artistic Director of Errin Ministries based in Cleveland, OH. Errin Ministres (EM) is a community centered dance intervention that uses cultural and sacred dance forms to help reduce suffering by using dance as an agent to help solve, educate, and heal. Errin Ministries houses two companies Mojuba! Dance Collective, that seeks to celebrate the cultural and spiritual dance traditions of people of the African Diaspora, and How Excellent! Countess V. Winfrey

Dance/Movement

Nashville native, Countess V. Winfrey, began her dance training at the age of 11 at Wharton Arts Magnet Middle school and continued her training at Nashville School of the Arts, before pursuing dance as a minor at the University of Memphis. After deciding to continue her dance training post graduation, Ms. Winfrey joined Dayton Contemporary Dance Company’s pre-professional ensemble in 2012, which then led into a professional dance career with The Dayton Contemporary Dance Company.

Ms. Winfrey has danced professionally with the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company (DCDC) and with ClancyWorks Dance Company, based in Washington, D.C.…

George Woideck

Visual Arts, Ceramic Tile & Glass Tile Mosaics

George Woideck trained as a painter and took time off to tour and record as a rock musician before launching a career as a ceramic artist, learning from national master ceramic artists. Since then he has been an artist-in-residence in schools throughout Ohio and Michigan.

George has been named a National Young Audiences Artist of the Year and his work as a teaching artist has been recognized by the Ohio Art Education Association. He participates in long term residencies for the TeachArtsOhio program of the Ohio Arts Council and is a roster artist for the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning.…
