Ricki Denes is a printmaker and illustrator whose work reflects her life, mostly pertaining to health and illness. She graduated with her B.F.A. in printmaking and a B.S.ED. in art education from Ashland University. Denes is currently on the Ohio Arts Council’s Teaching Artist Roster and has worked with both Ashland High School doing print demonstrations and a 4-week teaching artist placement at East Knox Elementary School. In addition to the Ohio Arts Council, Denes is a printmaking instructor at the Wayne Center for the Arts.

RECENT PROJECTS: “Print Club”, East Knox Elementary School (Howard, Ohio), Grades K-6. interested students came to the artroom during recess to learn more about printmaking. Lessons included how to print from linoleum blocks and introductions to other print methods.
“AU Art Camp,” Ashland University (Ashland, Ohio), Ages 7-13. Teach campers how to print their camp t-shirts with AU’s printing press.
“Printmaking 101”, Wayne Center for the Arts (Wooster, Ohio), Adults workshop series inlcuding exporation of new techniques and large scale work.
