Meghan Patijarevich is an imaginative and energetic dance educator. She is a native Ohioan and currently resides just outside of Columbus with her husband and daughter. Meghan enjoys bringing creativity, energy and a love of dance into each class she teaches. Her goal is to provide quality dance instruction while maintaining a positive and encouraging learning environment.

She is a graduate from The Ohio State University where she received a Masters of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Dance Education. She studied under Professor Melayne White-Dixon. Prior to that, she received her Bachelors of Arts and K-12 teaching license in Dance from the University of Akron. While at the University of Akron, she studied under teachers such as Kathleen Davis and Tom Smith.

Meghan has over 24 years of dance teaching experience in different local studios and public-school districts in Ohio; including Akron, Columbus, Lima and Reynoldsburg City Schools. She has taught Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Tap, Lyrical, Musical Theater, Cultural and Social dance and Creative Movement to ages 2-Adult. She has experience creating arts integrated curriculum and working directly with classroom teachers. One of her favorite projects was with an elementary classroom in Marysville City Schools in which they explored the relationship between land forms and elements of dance. She currently teaches dance and movement classes through BalletMet’s Dance Education Department.

She is also a two-time recipient of Reynoldsburg City Schools Mini-Grant program in which she was able to provide her students with dance shoes, purchase a dance and movement app to supplement her classes and bring in guest teaching artists based on student interest. For her, it is the best feeling when students are engaged and not only learning, but having fun while doing it. She loves being in the classroom and inspiring her students!
