Michelle is a guitar, piano, theory, and ensemble instructor with 17 years of teaching experience. They have a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in music performance studying classical guitar under Richard Schilling as well as jazz piano performance. Michelle has been a music educator since 2004 starting their career at the Music Academy of Chelmsford. It was here where they developed a proprietary program focusing on a musical foundation and experience for young children. At this time, Michelle also gained experience in the music industry working for Rounder Records.…

Described as singing with an engaging, robust tone (clevelandclassical.com), Lara Troyer is a versatile soprano, at home on the opera stage as well as concert and recital stage. Last year she was the soprano soloist in the world premiere of The Emergent Universe by Sam Guarnaccia with the Cleveland Chamber Choir and she sang the role of The Foreign Woman in The Consul with Nightingale Opera Theatre. Recent engagements include the role of Beth in Mark Adamo’s Little Women with Nightingale Opera Theatre, Fanny in Rossini’s La Cambiale Matrimonio with the Kent/Blossom Music Festival, the soprano solo in the Brahms Requiem with both the Summit Choral Society and the Kent State Chorus and Orchestra, and in Vivaldi’s Gloria with Akron Baroque and Singer’s Company.…

Carol Tyler is an influential pioneer of American Comics, known for her beautifully written and drawn by hand autobiographical stories.

Carol was born and raised in Chicago, received her Masters from Syracuse in 1983. After some years in NYC, she moved to San Francisco and began getting her comics published in R. Crumb’s Weirdo. In 1988, Carol received the Dori Seda Memorial Award for Best New Female Cartoonist.

Carol has many books, including the graphic masterpiece “Soldier’s Heart: The Campaign to Understand my WWII Veteran Father, A Daughter’s Memoir” (2015) which began as the “You’ll Never Know” trilogy.…

Hans Utter is multi-instrumentalist, ethnomusicologist, and dedicated educator. Since 1993, he has studied sitar and tabla with India’s top musicians, including Ustad Shujaat Khan. He holds a diploma in sitar from the Benares Hindu University, and a M.A. and Ph.D. in ethnomusicology from The Ohio State University. In his music, he aims to communicate the depth and beauty of North Indian music through the sitar and to illuminate the varied world of Indian art, culture, and history.

In addition to the sitar, his research as an ethnomusicologist has led him into music of the Middle East and Central Asia.…

Errin Weaver is a teaching artist, wellness advocate, and community activator. She began her dance training in African dance as a company member of Dance Afrika Dance of Cleveland, OH. Errin attended Tennessee State University on a university performing arts scholarship and then relocated to Chicago where she performed with the renowned Muntu Dance Theatre, under the direction of Amaniyea Payne.

Errin is certified at the M’Singha Wuti level for the Umfundalai Contemporary African Dance technique and has taught spiritual and African-based dance forms extensively. She has worked with such notable choreographers as Abdel Salaam, Jeffrey Page, Monique Haley, Ronald K.…

Nashville native, Countess V. Winfrey, began her dance training at the age of 11 at Wharton Arts Magnet Middle school and continued her training at Nashville School of the Arts, before pursuing dance as a minor at the University of Memphis. After deciding to continue her dance training post graduation, Countess joined Dayton Contemporary Dance Company’s (DCDD) pre-professional ensemble in 2012, which then led into a professional dance career with DCDC. Countess has danced professionally with DCDC and with ClancyWorks Dance Company based in Washington, D.C. She has had the opportunity to perform internationally in Kazakhstan, China, and Russia (including having performed in two sold out performances at the world famous Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, Russia).…

George Woideck trained as a painter and took time off to tour and record as a rock musician before launching a career as a ceramic artist, learning from national master ceramic artists. Since then he has been an artist-in-residence in schools throughout Ohio and Michigan.

George has been named a National Young Audiences Artist of the Year and his work as a teaching artist has been recognized by the Ohio Art Education Association.
