Sara Lawrence-Sucato, from Columbus, OH, graduated with honors from Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania, with a degree in dance and is currently working in Cleveland, OH. She is the Dancing Wheels Company and School’s director of outreach and community engagement, rehearsal director, a 10-year-plus company member, and served as the company’s tour manager for over a decade. Eric Marlow is a visual artist: painter, sculptor, jewelry designer, craftsman, and inventor. He has his mother to thank for her encouragement early in life in helped make him the artist he is today.

While in high school he won free art classes at the Columbus College of Art and Design. In 1960 Eric attended the Ohio State University where in he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and while in graduate school taught beginning drawing and sculpture classes. For more than 35 years, Candace Mazur Darman (MEd, Univ. of Northern Colorado) has been a successful teaching artist in central Ohio. She is the founder of Dramatic Impact, a nationally acclaimed children’s theatre company. Andrea McCormick is a performing artist and instructor from Cleveland, Ohio who has received her Bachelor of Arts from Wright State University in Theatre Studies, with an emphasis on Dance and Applied Voice. Beginning with ballet at three years of age, she also continued her studies in various dance forms, including tap, African folk dance, liturgical/spiritual, jazz, musical theatre dance, modern/contemporary, hip hop, and Latin ballroom.

Post college, under the stage name “Andrea Belser”, Andrea has remained extremely active in the northeast Ohio theater community, receiving 2008 Best Actress in Cleveland for her role as Juliette in “I Have Before Me a Remarkable Document Given to Me by a Young Lady from Rwanda” at Dobama Theatre, and nomination as 2012 Best Actress in Cleveland for her role as Pecola in “The Bluest Eye” at Karamu House Theatre.…

Ray McNiece is the author of eight books of poems and monologues, most recently Breath Burns Away, New Haiku. He has created two solo theatre works: Dis – Voices From a Shelter and Us? Sarah Morrison began her professional career at the age of sixteen with Lee Harper & Dancers (Atlanta, GA). She relocated to Cleveland upon receiving the Creative Achievement Award for choreography to attend Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). At CWRU, she earned her BA in Theater Arts and Psychology (minoring in Biology), as well as her MA in Psychology. While establishing her dance company, Morrison worked as a behavioral researcher in the Visual Perception lab at CWRU, where she co-authored several scientific papers funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

An avid collaborator, Morrison has cultivated partnerships with some of the area’s most fascinating artists and organizations including NASA, BrainMaster, moCa, and Ingenuity Cleveland.…

Eric Paton (MM) is a world percussionist fascinated by the intersection of movement and music. He accompanied Afro Caribbean dance classes for ten years, including technique and Dunham techniques classes with April Berry Burkey. He founded the Hiuchi Taiko Ethnic Percussion Ensemble featuring the music of Cuba, Haiti, Brazil and Japan, the KataBomba Drummers, co-directed Sambateria (a community samba percussion ensemble), and directs Yumbambé Salsa Jazz.

He specializes in percussion from the African Diaspora and Japan and is dedicated to providing interactive learning experiences for all learners and educators.

Paton has performed with national and international artists including Aretha Franklin, Tito Puente Jr., Sir Roland Hannah, Bobby Shew-Salsa Caliente, Earl Klugh, Milano La Scala (Italian National Opera), Eitetsu Hayashi, and Burnadette Peters.…
